Our First Child Was Born And So Was www.Sprogstogs.com
 Sprogstogs started life on eBay back in 2004, when we had our first child. We found managing on one wage very difficult so started an eBay shop selling childrens clothes as we had become experts at finding kids clothes bargains. We bought and sold end of line and overstocks, selling them on eBay for a reasonable but not brilliant profit. After a while we realised that we needed to cut the costs and increasing fees from eBay and PayPal so developed an online shop. This proved to be ok but still needed to be run along side the eBay shop for us to generate enough profit to boost our income. Then The Recession Hit!
When the recession got a grip our sales plumetted and again eBay increased their fees, the Royal Mail increased their postage charges and people were buying less. So... now it was a matter of survival. We changed the eBay shop to Splodge Monkey and increased our online store (Sprogstogs.com) advertising. We reduced the lines we stocked and changed suppliers but unfortunately this still made it difficult to stay a float.
 In 2007 we decided we needed another way of advertising so www.CashPointMonkey.com was conceived and is still running today. This is a self help centre for information from making money online to wedding info. This pushed free advertising our way and generates a small income at the same time from advertising on the website.
Now we are merging www.splodgemonkey.co.uk, www.sprogstogs.com and www.sprogstogs.co.uk under one virtual roof. We are keeping the name Splodge Monkey because by the end of 2010 we expect to have 2 online stores. One selling kids bargain clothes and accessories (Sprogstogs) and the other selling making stuff, paints, pens and generally messy stuff that kids love and parents hate (Splodge Monkey).
